The DT-HATS project is now underway! On 23 September 2025, the DT-HATS consortium met in Brussels for an in-person kick-off meeting, officially launching the new Horizon Europe Doctoral Network – DT-HATS.
After a warm welcome from the project coordinator, Prof. Michele Battistoni (UNIPG), the floor was given to DT-HATS beneficiaries and associated partners for a brief introduction to give insights into their areas of expertise and involvement in DT-HATS.
The central focus of the meeting was the preparation for the recruitment and training of 15 Doctoral Candidates who will work on individual PhD projects with the DT-HATS network. Partners discussed the recruitment process, supervision, and planned training activities, including secondments.
In parallel, the meeting covered the project’s work plan and overall management structure. Partners discussed the organisation of the different work packages, as well as key aspects related to project coordination, communication, dissemination, and collaboration across the network. The partners also discussed the first project activities and next steps to ensure a smooth start.
Although the project is still in its early stages, the kick-off meeting was an important step in bringing the partners together, sharing ideas, and setting out a clear plan for the project implementation.
