From 12 to 14 October 2026, two DT-HATS doctoral candidates, Arnob Kundu (DC7) and Disha Roy (DC13), attended the ERCOFTAC (European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion) Best Practice Guidance Seminar on CFD for Dispersed Multi-Phase Flows 2026, held at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

Organised by the ERCOFTAC Pilot Centre Greece, the seminar brought together researchers and experts to discuss computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approaches for dispersed multiphase flows. The programme covered Eulerian–Eulerian and Eulerian–Lagrangian modelling, particle and bubble dynamics, spray modelling, and Large Eddy Simulation (LES), alongside technical discussions and problem-solving sessions.

Participation in the seminar provided Arnob and Disha with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of multiphase flow modelling, explore best practices in CFD simulations and exchange ideas with researchers working in the field.

DT-HATS thanks the organisers for facilitating this valuable scientific training and exchange, as well as the doctoral candidates’ supervisors for supporting their participation in international scientific events.
