The DT-HATS Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network has reopened applications for the final two remaining PhD positions within the project. These positions are fully funded under the Horizon Europe programme and offer a unique opportunity to join a highly international and interdisciplinary research network.
DT-HATS brings together leading academic institutions and industrial partners across Europe with the shared goal of advancing low-carbon powertrains for heavy-duty and maritime transport, with a strong focus on ammonia and hydrogen as sustainable fuels.
Open PhD Positions
- DC5 – Optimization of liquid ammonia and dual-fuel flash-boiling injection strategies: a joint experimental and thermodynamic study on single-hole injectors
- DC8 – Experimental characterisation of ammonia ignition using nanosecond barrier discharges
Both projects lie at the intersection of energy engineering, combustion science, and advanced experimental techniques, and are embedded in a comprehensive doctoral training programme.
